Roy Young
April 27, 1932 – May 27, 2023
Richmond, Florida – Roy was born in Taladaga, Al and raised in Anderson, Indiana. He graduate of Florida A & M University, BA and Ball State University, MS.
In 1957, Roy began his teaching career at Mays High School in Goulds. Roy continued his career at Miami Killian, later serving as Athletic Director for 20 years. After 35 yrs of service, he retired from MDCPS in 1992.
Roy was respected and admired by many, and made many friends along the way. He was always willing to help any worthy cause and loved working with young adults most of all.
Barbara Ann McIntosh
January 27, 1947 – August 28, 2023
Barbara Ann McIntosh’s journey began on January 27, 1947. She was the first jewel born to the late Irene Delancy McIntosh Taylor and the late Harold McIntosh. It was in the humble, but proud environment of Perrine, FL, where she opened those big, beautiful eyes to behold a world where she would make a lasting historical imprint.
Barbara was raised in a religious, God-fearing home filled with love of self, family, and God first. Her father passed while she was at the tender age of seven. She continued to thrive with the love and guidance of her family.
